ChessInclusive

The story of 64 squares in one line.

Today, the people in the world are diverse, differentiated by languages, religion, ethnicity, geo-political diversity, and cultural heritage.

Chess is not just a game.

  • Chess has its own world of 64 squares within this world. The number of possible chess games is estimated to be around 10^120, greater than the number of atoms in the universe.

  • Chess is a universal language of communication that can bring people together to share emotions and build bonds, irrespective of their diversities.

  • Chess is an equal opportunity platform where all people are equal irrespective of age, gender, caste, and color

  • Chess is the most accessible teaching tool to teach decision making skills, social and emotional intelligence.

  • Chess has a rich cultural heritage and meaning in different parts of the world. Chess provides an opportunity for everyone to learn and appreciate others’ culture, history, and heritage.

Despite all its advantages, chess has been considered a niche sport and a high-intelligent game. For example, chess viewership has grown in the last few years with the 2023 World Chess Championship having a peak concurrent viewership 572,000. However, chess is still not even close compared to other mainstream sports such as Super Bowl LVII 2023 (113 million viewers in the US alone), FIFA World Cup 2022 Final (1.5 billion global viewership), and other esports such as Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends (> 2 million peak viewership in 2024). This is despite chess being one of the oldest and culturally rooted games. This highlights that there is a gap and a missing piece that inhibits chess from being accessible to everyone.

We aim to modernize the outlook on chess and accelerate its penetration into our everyday lifestyle using technology. Specifically, the recent generative AI revolution positions us in the pinnacle of societal reformation through chess. We intend to innovate in the multidisciplinary intersection of genAI technology, chess, and tooling to build resilient communities and better connected multicultural communities.
